consciously cultivating joy
I'm so glad you're here. I'm Tama.
I'm a queer, nonbinary therapist living in small-town PA with my wife and two beautiful kids.
My own experience of therapy has been transformative. It is my lifelong mission to support myself and others to joyfully embrace who they are.
I consider it a sacred opportunity to assist you as you clarify your needs and what gets in the way of healing and everyday fulfillment.
I went to Vassar College for undergrad and West Chester University for my graduate studies. I am currently under supervision with Kat Steele, M.Ed, LPC (PC013628).
I work with adolescents, adults, families, & couples (I especially appreciate working with parents alongside their children).
I work with folks who are longing for stronger and more nourishing relationships; who would like to learn to better manage depression and anxiety; who are navigating identity development and life changes; who are ready to explore gender and sexuality; who want to heal from individual and intergenerational trauma; who are neurodiverse and struggling to navigate a normative world. I love working with parents, folks with ADHD, genderqueer individuals, and those of us who are trying to find our footing in a shifting political landscape. I believe above all else that this work is relational and will bring myself as a human into our sessions.
At this time, I do not take insurance and offer telehealth sessions for folks located in Pennsylvania only.
I will always start by meeting you right where you are. I believe that you are inherently good and whole. The tools and practices I offer are meant to uplift what is already inside of you and to assist you to live with greater authenticity, joy, and ease. My goal is to cultivate trust that will allow you to feel safe to bring all of yourself to our sessions. We will walk this path together.
I bring a collaborative and affirming approach to therapy. Some of my modalities include: attachment-based, parts work, nervous system understanding, and trauma-informed mindfulness. Our work together will be intersectional, considering all of the systems that impact our ability to thrive.
